Let’s see. I had just graduated from college and had moved back home in preparation for starting business school in the fall. As you can see, I did not make a go of it at business school and quickly transferred to getting a masters in education, which I made a tremendous go of.

I worked that summer for a community non-profit/anti-poverty organization in the city. I worked with at-risk teens. Let’s just say it was a long, hot summer and I ended up working there for 3 more years.

School was out and I was running a summer school program, and if I remember that summer correctly, I was going out pretty much every night. I think that was the summer where I occasionally wore the same clothes to work that I had worn the day before, due to aforementioned going out every night. Man, that was one fun summer.

I was newly engaged and planning my wedding! If you’ve been reading right along, you know that we got engaged in June, and married in November, so suffice it to say that we didn’t have, you know, time to waste.

Last July was a total whirlwind of planning, gown fitting, florist visiting, menu planning, wine tasting, etc, etc, etc. I was also living in Toronto and taking the subway to work, which led me to lots of trips downtown after work to shop. I mean, it was ON THE WAY HOME, people. Last summer was fun, too, but really terribly busy.

Well, seeing as I didn’t post at all yesterday, not much of note happened. I was in meetings all day at work, and watched “In Good Company” last night at home, which is probably one of the most boring movies I’ve ever seen. Then I went to bed and read Calgary magazine. Are you seeing why I posted nothing?

Had breakfast with one of my favorite co-workers. I’m wearing a really, really cute skirt. I’ve had 2 coffees so far. Again, can you see why I’m not posting here?

Lord, I hope I have something more interesting to contribute tomorrow. It’s pretty much a ghost town here at work today, and even worse tomorrow, since so many people make it a loooong weekend. Seeing as I recently got back from a 2 1/2 week vacation, I didn’t want to take another day off. So, tomorrow, I will be right here.

5 snacks I enjoy…
Only 5? Let’s see.
– Salt & Vinegar chips
– Barbecue chips

5 songs I know all the words to…
I think I’ve mentioned this previously, but I have a very freakish memory when it comes to song lyrics. I can bust them out all over the place, and I know most of the lyrics to any song you throw at me. Five I can think of off the top of my head are:
– Baby Got Back, Sir Mix-a-Lot
– U Can’t Touch This, MC Hammer
– Heartbreaker, Mariah Carey
– It’s the End of the World as We Know It, REM (yup, every word)
– I Got a Man, Positive K

5 things I would do with $100,000,000…
Well, this should be obvious. I’d buy:
– Clothes
– Purses
– Shoes
– Pay off our house
– Buy a beach house

5 locations I would love to run away to…
For vacation? I’d go back to:
– the Vineyard
– San Diego

– Barcelona
– Puerto Rico

5 things I like doing…
– Shopping
– Hanging out with my husband
– Sitting outside having drinks on the water
– Chillin’ with friends
– Singing along (terribly) in the car

5 things I would never wear…
For most of these, I am so totally with Ali. This one is hard to keep to just 5.
– An N’SYNC t-shirt and overalls
– A scrunchie
– Tapered jeans
– A sweatshirt with farm animals embroidered onto it
– Scuffed white pumps

5 recently seen movies I like…
I don’t like movies. Too long to sit.

5 biggest joys of the moment…
– Upcoming 3 day weekend with predicted GORGEOUS weather
– Seeing the Sox game on Sunday and watching the Pops rehearse
– Flavored coffee in the cafeteria downstairs
– My husband
– Having something to actually blog about

5 favorite toys…
– Self tanner
– iPod
– my car
– digital camera & flick-r
– credit card

Now I’m supposed to tag five other folks, but I don’t like to apply pressure like that, so if you wanna, go ahead! And lemme know so I can go read it.
