The woman who brought you the commercial hits “Jerk” and “12 years old” has fashioned a sincere and heartfelt tribute to the musical standards of Christmas past. From the smile of Elvis on “Santa Bring My Baby Back To Me,” to the tender hopefulness of “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,” Kim owns every note with feeling and style. Her thoughtful selection of material and the flawless arrangements of producer Jono Grant result in a cohesive effort that is both a salute to time gone by and a vibrant introduction of holiday classics to a contemporary audience. Particularly touching is “Home For Christmas (How Water Street Lit Up The Sky),” a song Kim was inspired to write for her beloved birthplace, St. John’s, Newfoundland.

A labour of love, “I Love Santa” was recorded with long-time Stockwood collaborators Blake Manning and Tim Bovaconti, and features Shaye sisters Damhnait Doyle and Tara MacLean as well as a host of other talented musicians. Producer Jono Grant brought not only his considerable production talents to the mix, but also provides the stunning piano accompaniment featured on many of the songs.
